Port Macquarie Occupational Therapy is experienced in assisting NDIS participants to source Assistive Technology that is suitable for them and provides them with increased mobility, functioning and independence. We assist clients with referrals to appropriate equipment providers and work alongside the providers and the client to complete trials of the equipment to ensure it meets their needs. Once a client has found the perfect Assistive Technology solution, we complete an NDIS Assistive Technology report for the NDIS using their specific AT template to assist in gaining approval.
It would be strongly recommended that if you require this service to please contact us 3-4 months prior to the end of your current NDIS plan. This allows for the completion of the Occupational Therapy Assistive Technology Report and its submission to the NDIS for their consideration prior to building and issuing your new NDIS plan.
